mod is unstable in multiplayer

when both me and my friend updated to 1.5.4 from 1.5.3 we noticed a problem. sometimes while in combat the host would crash. This could be caused by the new quest update.

Does it happen when the non-host kills a creature that is in it's quest list?

We were killing mobs not related to the quest.
