- Cinnamon. Default settings and backend.
- Hardware: laptop. Gtx 980 8gb desktop GPU (not 980m, 6th gen i7-6820hk, 32gb ddr4.

Describe the bug After playing for at least an hour, chiaki will freeze and require logging out, killing the process does not exit. Happened 3 times in one night while I was streaming...
To Reproduce Steps to reproduce the behavior:
- play games for at least one hour.
Expected behavior no freezing.
Log Files unsure if log file required. please advise and will attach if necessary.
note: I also built latest version from source to see if that worked... source version had no audio at all...kept telling me that 48000hz audio wasn't supported by the audio Device (it is....) so using the latest source was not a viable fix.
I think this and This issue might be related. I get the same skipping frames related message often. Perhaps some sort of buffer is filling up then crashing everything / locking everything up?
Also, I mentioned not being able to use the latest build from source? The no sound error is [I] ChiakiOpusDecoder initialized [E] Audio Format with 2 channels @ 48000 Hz not supported by Audio Device
Only happens with latest source. Appimage audio works.
I think this is more to do with this issue. They mention the stream just stopping / freezing randomly, round about the same time you mention. I also have the same problem and posted there, but it looks like its not actually had any updates on it for 4 months. Something to do with CTR mode implementation, but what is that anyway? and why cant it be fixed at the moment?
I think you're right. I must have missed that thread.
This may be unrelated to #172. Can you check the ram usage after streaming for some time?
Will do. Thanks!

Unrelated to the original issue but I also have the same problem of no audio when using chiaki from the latest source (736b4835dfee77e34c09faa2623612691f7c1489).
EDIT: sudo apt install libqt5multimedia5-plugins
fixed the audio problem for me on latest source.
@thestr4ng3r I have had the issue arise a few times now and have been observing the RAM usage: I don't recall ever seeing it even hit 2GB. If you are concerned about a memory-leak causing the freeze/crash, I can almost guarantee that's not the case. I have 32GB of DDR4, and Chiaki comes nowhere close to eating all of it :)
@ritiek I am using a different distro now than I was initially, (was mint, now manjaro). So I haven't tried building from source and running that one again -- but I'll keep this in mind if I run into that issue again. Thanks.
no solution?
Ill try and get a screencapture next time.. I had this aswell and my terminal has loads of continuous output
Only thing to do for now is pause the game when it happens and restart chiaki. Input still works when the video output freezes, thankfully.
