[BUG] Woofer speakers do not sound on Dell XPS 17 9710

They work fine on Windows, but it seems they are not working on linux because they sound quieter.

To Reproduce Play any videos from youtube or any mp3 file.

Reproduction Rate All the time.

Expected behavior Both woofer speakers sound as they do on Windows.

Impact The laptop sounds quieter on linux.

Environment Kernel: 6.15.4 SOF: 2025.05-1 Name of the topology file Topology: intel/sof-tplg/sof-tgl-rt711-rt1308-rt715.tplg Name of the platform(s) on which the bug is observed. Platform: Dell XPS 17 9710 Bios version: 1.34.0

@JuanFcoMiranda I have the same machine. I updated the BIOS and used the same kernel version. I can't see the problem. Does this issue happen whether rebooting from Windows or cold-booting from Linux?

No, it happens all the time, no matters if it's a cold-booting or rebooting from Windows, the sound is pretty different on Linux and on Windows, it seems that the bass sounds are not working as it should on Linux, or at least, it's my perception.

There is sound, but it seems the woofers are not working properly and only the tweeters are working, I'm not sure if I'm explaining myself well.

@JuanFcoMiranda Okay. I think it is expected. Windows has the sound effect algorithm running in the DSP, but Linux doesn't.
