[BUG] Speakers not working on Asus TP3607SA
Hey guys, I have an Asus TP3607SA that has an issue with sound. I am using Manjaro and am on the unstable branch. After the last sof-firmware package update I get audio now when I plug in headphones, but nothing through the speakers. Opening this as a new issue as I was advised to do so.

Hey guys, I have an Asus TP3607SA that has an issue with sound. I am using Manjaro and am on the unstable branch. After the last sof-firmware package update I get audio now when I plug in headphones, but nothing through the speakers.
I suspect the ALSA HDA driver for your device does not know the amp is powering the speakers (and how to enable/disable it). @shumingfan any inputs from Realtek here on ALC294 ?

I had also tested on a Dell Plus 16 DB06250 and speakers were not working on that either about one month ago.
the dell should be working with mainline kernel according to https://askubuntu.com/questions/1551500/issue-with-dell-16-plus-and-linux-ubuntu-24-04-lts-sound-card
On the ASUS, there were some comments (which I cannot find again) that you might need to use hdajackretask and say that the speaker is connected (or pavucontrol?), but I don't know what the problem might be. I think filing a bug in https://bugzilla.kernel.org/ for HDA, send mail to linux-sound (and maintainers + Baojun Xu) asking for help.
