Feature request: Search through commits

A feature I regularly use on Github's website is searching for commits to compare or pick from. This feature is currently unavailable in any Android git client I've tried (almost all) and I am not sure if that's because this isn't possible in an android app? However I feel that it is a crucial part of using the git interface, and I have zero app development experience so I hope my request doesn't seem too far-fetched
