middle mouse button doesn't work when "Invert vertical scrolling" is enabled

Once "Invert vertical scrolling" is enabled, the mouse's middle button (press down scroll wheel) no longer work.

My system: macOS Monterey 12.6.5 MacBook Pro (16-inch, 2019) mouse: Razer Viper Mini
