Apiarist Database and Apiarist Backpack broken
I was doing a bunch of bees (got all the way to excited bees) the next day i logged in and my Apiarist Database was wiped clean, harvesting new bees did not add to it, and my Apiarist backpack says it's empty even though there are 3 pages worth of bees in it and even if i add bees to it it still says 0,0,0, but it was kinda bugged before as well, it showed 10+ queens and i didn't have any or was it showing how many i could make ?
This is the first modpack i ever played and the first time i got into bees and was quite excited to do some more and then that happened, it totally killed the mood to do more bees.
Also even getting started with bees is next to impossible without prior knowledge, the internet or the beealyzer and/or Apiarist database, may i suggest we get a quest for these first ? or for a book on bees, if there is one ? i'd prefer to learn/discover things in game.
Yea that questline needs a lot more work to really teach how to do bees, it's just not particularly high on my todo list currently. As for the known mutations bugging out, I don't know what could cause that, but I recommend looking into the escritoire as a good way to get the mutations readded to the database. I made a post about how it works recently here: http://forum.feed-the-beast.com/threads/ask-a-simple-question-get-a-simple-answer.9625/page-1177#post-1417327
Yeah more quest for bees (and fish) would be awesome.
It's also very hard to do any of them, for example i would have never figured out that stone, cactus and lilipads are also "flowers" and when making the modest hive on the altar it gave a tropical one instead, so i had to put that in the mana pool about 500 times, but it took me ages to find that out since i already made the only recipe for it and it failed (was sure it was a bug) and then the next part of the quest wanted a different one so i had to do that again, seemed a bit wrong at the time, but i guess it's not a big deal and i just learned that you can place those special hives down and harvest the respective bees from it, should make getting the right be a lot easier if only the database would work again.
Made that escritoire but parched combs is the only kind i got and i can't put it in any of the slots.
You put bees into the escritoire, in the center of the hexes. Slots will open on the left(?) for combs, and pressing the button will reveal random slots on the grids. You basically play a matching game, but you cannot fail even once. If you complete the "game," you get a research and possibly some combs that the bee you put in produces.
Thanks, i kinda tried that (with a bee, no combs though) it's not something i will be playing with and without the Apiarist database working, it's also kinda pointless (or it at least takes all the fun out of it)
