User alerted when certificates are about to expire

As a Data Publisher with the certificates I want to subscribe to automated email alert to warn me that my certificates are due for renewal So that I can update it before it expires

This feature could create an email storm, If a portal is scanned to automatically award certificated then potentially 100's of certificates would expire at the same time. Perhaps emails are limited to certificates that have not been automatically awarded.
