Carousel swipe support

Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe. I would like to use the carousel component in mobile app where swipe support would greatly improve the UX.

Describe the solution you'd like Support swiping left and right the cycle through the items.

Describe alternatives you've considered None.

This seems to work already (at least using react) and therefore closing.

I would like to add to this, or maybe ask for a re-open, because this seems to be not working in a default html/css (non-react) environment.

What is the status of this functionality? In the HTML it does not work yet or in the documentation, it shows how to activate the feature
