license issues

MIT license is supposed to be reproduced in each source file, plus the OG Merit implementation is BSD-4-Clause. Maybe just go with BSD-4-Clause throughout? Basically the same, and less complicated.

Hmm I didn't know about the fact that MIT license is supposed to be reproduced in each source file. I just wanted to have simple and very permissive license. Anyway I'll investigate and thanks for raising this issue.

And what do you mean by "OG Merit"?

Merit networks originally wrote the C code, and they licensed it under a BSD-4-Clause license.
