Audio but not video

I just purchased a Honda Accord 2019 hybrid EXL and I can install both the car stream and the Android Auto but when I connect I only get audio and no video. The video stays on my phone. I can even get the head unit server to run but I can't get installed the app-release.apk

I have an LG journey Pie Android that I haven't been able to root. I also don't get the option to cast to the screen like in the video demonstration instead it just says version 1.8.3.

Does this have to be rooted in order for it to work properly? :-(

Nobody answered and it closed by itself so I reopened it because it is still happening!

2.0.5 installed on Moto G7. Audio always plays on Chevy Bolt 2021. Video will sometimes play but does not always display.
