CarStream Fails with with the OCT2019 update of AA
After updating AA to the new version 4.7.593824 October 2019, CarStream fails to work. It is showing on car head Unit ( Showing as Carstream and carstream player) , But i touch carstream app to launch carstream a Loading circle animation is only shown in Head Unit. After reverting back to the previous AA version everything works fine.
CarStream works fine with AA 4.6.593334 Play service version 19.4.20 Carstream unlocked with AAPhenotype Patcher.
Same issue. Tried to unlock with AAPhenotype Patcher as well as built in patcher. I get an icon but selecting it causes the wheel to spin. Stopped working when I applied the October patch (4.7.593824). Was working before this patch. Pixel 2 XL
got the same issue, updated to Android 10 last week. same aa version like thread starter :)
I had Downloaded, The Car Stream App , but when I connected my Phon Android Auto Showing option of Car Stream But Error showing that Please click the last button on bottom bar & Start Playing Youtube .... but its not playing the App.
Check your Android Auto version if it is 4.7.5 Carstream wont work even if it is showing. uninstall AA 4.7.5 and install AA 4.6.593334 from apkmirror. And try
The CarStream fails to shows in the new AndroidAuto new interface, it only shows when returning to the old interface.

Hello Friend for Carstream to work 1.You need a rooted Phone (You can unroot your note 9 later if you are using banking apps, Carstream will still work after unrooting). 2.Download Android Auto 4.6 from apkmirror (Disable auto update off apps in google Play settings to prevent AA from updating) 3.Connect your Note 9 to your Car and allow all permissions and check AA is working fine. disconnect from car. (IMPORTANT Open carstream got to Seetings, on the settings menu tap the three dots on top right and enable 1.try the new AA, 2.Always preview messages etc etc Scroll down where you will find version number. tap on the version number 10 times (approax) press OK to enable developer settings. Again tap on the three dots on top right >Developer settings developer settings will be displayed, then set Application mode to Developer, scroll down and put a tick mark on <Unknown sources>. exit AA. 4.Download Carstream apk and AAPhenotype Patcher 0.85apk and install both apps. (IMPORTANT: Open Carstream and grant storage access permissions, tap the three dots on top right of carstream app>select bookmarks>select internal storage...a file manager will be displayed, choose a Video file and tap on it, the video will play on your phone. Close carstream app. 5.Open AAPhenotype Patcher app, Tap on the three dots on top right and select >Apps List. installed apps will be listed, Select Carstream from the list by putting tick mark on left box, press back button and select PATCH button on the app. grant superuser permissions when asked. the app will ask you to reboot your phone. Reboot your phone. 6.Start your car, Connect your phone, Start AA. Android auto screen will be displayed on your cars display, press right extreme button on the bottom bar of AA, AA compatible apps will be displayed on car screen like maps, phone google play music etc etc 7.Car Stream will be shown as two apps on car screen 1.Carstream player and 2.carstream. select 2nd app ie car stream (not carstream player), click on 4squares on top right>select bookmarks>select internal storage> a file manager will be displayed select a video file and click on it, it will be played on car screen. press on car screen during video playback and select your style like cover, stretch, full screen etc. if there is another video file on the same folder on your phone try the next track using steering controls and check if next/previous tracks are played using steering controls. If not contact me. you can also play youtube videos DRIVE SAFE, Carstream app is not for DRIVERS, its just to entertain passengers. AA compatible apps Waze(good), Jet Audio,
AAPhenotype patcher is available for download (latest version is 0.85), carstream latest version is 2.0 (you can download some forked versions from github ie 2.01, 2.02, 2.03etc) if any clarification needed feel free to contact. DRIVE SAFE, DRIVE SAFE

@podimonanil: How to turn off automatic updates to turn off apps in google Play settings to prevent AA from being installed from apkmirror. Please !
