Google Play Services wont run unless you update...

Hey guys,

just bought a HtC OnePlusOne Android phone running 6.0.1 solely for CarStream. I've rooted the handset, installed AA 3.5 (also tried 3.0 and 2.9) and installed GPS 12.6.

If I launch AA, an error pops up

"Something Went Wrong Google Play Services doesnt seem to be working right now."

On my lock screen there is a notification:

"Update Google Play Services Google Play Services wont run unless you Update"

If I update GPS to latest 12.8, AA works, but that defies the purpose because CarStream player doesnt work on 12.8.

any help would be appreciated!

Did all 20 steps that you wrote in number 211 but when I'm in step 12 starts to appear a notification that says: "Update Google Play Services... Google Play Services wont run unless you Update". I ignore it and install & open AA 3.5 but when I try to open says: "Something Went Wrong... Google Play Services doesnt seem to be working right now." I've already check if GPS is updated but nope... I have installed 12.6.88 GPS... please help! :(

Same here. I installed GPS 12.6.88 and AA 3.5. I also use the disable service apk app to block GPS from updating. But AA refused to open instead it pop up the notification saying "something went wrong Google play service doesn't seem to be working right now" . Does anyone know how this can be fixed?

USing GPS 12.6.85 and AA 3.2.58 for long time on op3t. Since yesterday AA refuses to load unless i update some google apps including AA.i havent updated to the latest oos as that auto updates gps. anyone else experiencing this? any suggestions or combintions of software versions still working? thx..
