expiry date not working with two digits of a year(working in case of 4 digit entered year only)

while entering expiry date as 12/24, it shows error message as "Expiration Date is required" and while entering year as 12/2024 it is working fine. Please help to resolve this issue . Thanks in advance. Screenshot_4
