It would be neat, for testing purposes, if we could get the framebuffer rendered into a GTK+/conrod/etc GUI window for testing on desktop platforms.

Being able to write to the Piston Image Processing Library would be useful too.

There is a GUI window in monotron-app - we should bring it into this crate.
