Any progress on this? I am definitely interested and have attempted to create this too with no success. Would be glad to help test :)

Ha, yeah I had one for a bit, but then things changed. I need to go back to this. I think the old one was using dark sky and I moved off that integration dn ti broke and I just never got back to it.

Do you have weather sensors outside or are you looking at using a weather service like accuweater to get your outside temp?

I found a HACS custom component called Pirate Weather that is a replacement for Dark Sky that you can just drop right in and it works. All you have to do is rename the entities. It uses all the same syntax and sensor names as Dark Sky, you can even use the Dark Sky Lovelace cards and it all works.
