Exception In Initializer javabank-core

Hello,

Added the project via maven and when I am trying to build with the javabank-core dependency I am getting the following error:

Error:java: java.lang.ExceptionInInitializerError

Other than that it is failing silently without a stack trace -- so it seems that we might have an out of date dependency somewhere. I noticed that the maven project dates to 2017, whereas this project has been updated much more recently -- is it possible this issue has already been resolved in more recent versions?
