Is this still maintained?

We find this library useful but there are some things we would like to fix / fixes by others we would like to use. These are mostly in the open PR queue but it looks like the last commit was in 2019.

Are you still maintaining this? Interested in co-maintainers? Happy for this to be forked?

Please let me know if this is forked as I too would like to have a maintained version

I see this fork shows intent - will try a PR there https://github.com/maybe-Baylie/name-parser

@eileenmcnaughton I see you have your own fork as well. If maybe-Bailie doesn't merge your PR, will you be picking up the torch?

I'd like to start using this library, but like you would really prefer someone to be maintaining it.

@cheesegrits well yeah - I created that fork just to put up a PR to see what happens but yeah - we just need one to consolidate around

@eileenmcnaughton I don't hold out much hope for that fork. The author has a grand total of 10 commits in 8 years.

Wrt the question you asked on that fork about Packagist, there is no way to transfer ownership of a package. An owner can add other maintainers, but that's not helpful if the owner is not responding. I've been thru this before with abandoned packages. The only way forward is to change the namespace in a fork and publish a totally separate package yourself.
