I'm looking for a Go package that could be used by https://forgejo.org for automated DDoS mitigation (integration into Forgejo itself). Not as a general solution but specifically to guard against a specific kind of DDoS (bursts of 100,000 IPs hitting Forgejo within one minute until it goes down and start again later, after it is back online).

Could you please explain how waffle would currently mitigate such a DDoS?
