It's still a draft?

It's still a draft?

A bit. I did play with the resulting package on my way back from Munich and it seemed to work OK.

One question that I had (but didn't write until now): how should we (if at all) support the upgrade path from the packages on oss.atix.de? If you look closely, you'll see that your original packages use python3-katello… naming (= python lib) and you have fake" katello-host-tools* meta packages to pull the right python ones in, while here we directly produce katello-host-tools-*.

We could try adding replaces/overwrites entries so that apt removes your old packages, but I am not sure I am motivated to test/maintain that given that those packages were never "official". What do you think? Is a one-time breaking change for the users ok?

@sbernhard what are your thoughts about compatibility with the atix packages?
