biome borders: inconsistencies

Open LunaWurx opened this issue 3 years ago • 2 comments

Describe the bug When Moving between different biomes master volume will significantly change. It's not actually changing the slider itself but the whole game gets louder or softer. I have specifically noticed this between the Snowy taiga, Snowy Plains, and Taiga biomes. May have something to do with Ambient Sounds for Fabric.

To Reproduce Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Go into world
  2. Find the border/intersection point between biomes (in my case snow taiga and regular taiga)
  3. Walk between them
  4. Listen for volume changes

Expected behavior biomes shouldn't effect most sounds, especially music, and it's not fading either so I do not think it's intentional.

Screenshots If applicable, add screenshots to help explain your problem. Screenshots don't really apply to this but here's a google drive link to a video of it happening (it's to big to attach directly here) (it may still be processing)

Additional context I know it has to do with this mod because if I disable it the volume change doesn't happen

Please run this test again without any other mods that affect audio.

This is likely due to the atmospherics effects. IIRC there's no settings for this currently. But this will possibly be fixed in the next update.
