Cloning repo from GitLab

Hi there.

When I try to clone a repo hosted on GitLab, the app throws an error message:

Clone error: could not find appropriate mechanism for credentials

I found the solution to this issue in the FAQ. After providing credentials via the settings, everything worked fine. A standard case of RTFM. :)

May be you could provide a bit more descriptive error message. That would improve the UX.
