Tree shake support

Split functions as build components to enable tree shake, I'm currently working on recreating the library to support tree shake, will you prefer that?

I'm not against altering things for better bundle sizes. I'm not entirely sure what that entails, but if you want to make things better, go for it! I'm happy to review PRs, if you want to push it upstream.
