Add the new Gemini 2.5 Models.

It would be relevant to add Google's new models, especially the recently released Gemini 2.5 Pro model.

Hello! Currently, Writing Tools has all the latest Gemini models except for 2.5 Pro (Preview) — which I'll add in the next update.

If you want to use it right now, simply open your config file and change the model name to gemini-2.5-pro-preview-03-25 :)

You're not missing out on much for Writing Tools, though — 2.5 Pro is a reasoning model with up to 30 seconds of reasoning latency and much lower rate limits.

Nope, I tried, it still doesn't work. I must have done something wrong.

@Lordlorio , I checked the documentation, and it looks like the correct name for the free version of 2.5 Pro is: gemini-2.5-pro-exp-03-25

The error message Google gave when trying to use the paid version showed us an erroneous model name (with a dot instead of a dash).

Google appears to no longer provide its Pro models for free AI usage. Try gemini-2.5-flash-preview-05-20 instead.

@zaxxz thanks for letting me know; that's unfortunate. My exams are now done, so I've been able to start work on the next update! I'll get this sorted (and even add a custom name option so users no longer need to wait for updates to change the model name) :)

gemini-2.5-flash-lite appears to be functioning. However, gemini-2.5-flash and gemini-2.5-pro do not seem to be working. I also was not able to get results from gemini-live-2.5-flash-preview
