ℹ️ Temporary ~2 month Windows/Linux Development Pause due to my IB Exams

Open theJayTea opened this issue 10 months ago • 2 comments

Hi everyone!

I wish I could work on all the issues and pull requests right now, but my IB Grade 12 exams are coming up in ~20 days and will last about a month. I sadly haven't had time to address recent GitHub activity due to exam prep.

Good news: After my final exams, I'll be able to work on Writing Tools full-time! Expect many cool updates around then :D

Upcoming Features Planned

When I return, I'll work on these features — in addition to addressing recent GitHub Issues feature requests and bug reports!

  • Localization (multi-language UI) — @momokrono has built the entire framework! It'll be ready by the next release.
  • Hotkeys for specific options
  • Support to remove reasoning token markers if needed (DeepSeek R1 & Gemini 2.0 Thinking already work!) (Issue #109)
  • Tracked changes/diff checking to compare proofread text with the original
  • Active window verification before pasting
  • More feature suggestions from GitHub Issues
  • Various bug fixes and improvements

Thank you for your patience! :)

@theJayTea wishing you a successful exam time! Thanks for the list of upcoming updates, its great to see how responsive the roadmap is to suggestions made here! Just one question on the interim time for you and

@Aryamirsepasi mac versions 4.2 ad 4.3 are looking like release-ready branches the repo, with some important improvements over 3.1, is there any chance that you could release them during the hiatus? That would be great!

Hi @menelic , I was also busy with my thesis, hence the long delay, but I am now working on finishing up the update. Version 4 will definitely be released this week. 😁
