Request [Improved clipboard control and others]
Once again, WT[Writing Tools] is such a great app! so much potential. I have become so dependent on it, its like drugs hahaha. The only downside is that I want more features! (LOL — great product!) I do however understand the original scope and intention, and it seems to exceed it every day. Nevertheless, I hope the following features can be introduced sometime in the future, if possible. They would make me even more efficient, and perhaps others as well:
New feature 1 [Clipboard control - similar to MS PowerToys' Advanced Paste but better ]
- It will allow me to copy text to the clipboard[or multiple placeholders], and WT can detect it. Then, I can open WT (or if already open) click a prompt button to have that copied text transformed and pasted into a text box. For example: A prompt button [Convert and simplify to layman's terms] for complicated copied arXiv text. Then, clicking the prompt button pastes a simplified version into my research document, instead of manually copying it again. This would save one or two extra steps. Or, copy C++ code > To clipboard > Convert to Python and paste in compiler or Synthesize clipboard texts.
New Feature 2 [Old feature??]
- In the beginning of the app, I could use a hotkey, and the full app would appear with a text box and prompt buttons. I could then type, for example, "create email template," and an email template would be pasted into my email client or document. This was changed so it now starts a conversation with the LLM, which can be good for some scenarios, but perhaps the old option could be added. This would improve efficiency; for example, in an AI image generator, I could call WT and type a basic prompt into WT and ask it to improve the prompt for the AI image generation which goes into AI image gen text box. This could be a universal prompt enhancer for any LLM etc amongst other things
New feature 3 [Ties in with Feature 2 above]
- A multi-line/larger/word wrap text entry box, so I can add more details and see additional text for longer prompts where required.
New feature 4
- Have a always on top option, to keep the WT window easily accessible above other windows so it can be moved around, so when you are doing the copy and transform operations its always there to work with.
See basic mockup below hopefully it help explain the above. Many many thanks again for all your hard work; it is much appreciated.

As for 1, it'd be a bit hard to implement in the near future (as it'd require some architectural changes), and it also would make the app slightly more confusing for the average user in terms of UX, but I see how it can be helpful and will think about adding this if possible.
2: I'll add a toggle in settings for you so you can decide if you want chat or replacement with the textbox there :) 3: And yep, I’ll see how a multi-line dynamic textbox can fit in there.
4: I’ll add this too :)

Thanks so much for the reply, I was not expecting this, I am humbled and really appreciate it. Please focus on your exams and pass to get your qualification, you are creating and maintain this very useful app and doing this in your own time for all our benefit, and I know you will get to all our request when get the time and if you think it will help the product.
