Topo zoom low resolution issue in Safari browser (desktop)

Open killakalle opened this issue 10 months ago • 0 comments

To reproduce:

  1. Open Safari (on a Macbook)
  2. Go to a crag with high-res topo photo, e.g. https://www.thecrag.com/es/escalar/spain/gandia/sector-fundicio
  3. Make browser window wide enough, so that the "left-right crag navigation arrows" are shown
  4. Click on the photo topo to enlarge the topo

Expected:

  • topo enlarges
  • topo photo and overlay are shown in high resolution

Actual:

  • topo enlarges
  • topo photo and overlay are shown in low resolution

You can even change the window width while the photo topo is zoomed in to see how the resolution changes when the navigation arrows are shown or hidden.

Workarounds:

  1. Use Chrome
  2. Make window smaller, so that navigation arrows are not shown

Safari with crag navigation arrow: low resolution image

Safari without crag navigation arrow: high resolution image

Chrome with crag navigation arrow: high resolution image
