Grade conversion should not convert slash grades of my own grade context
What happened? As a user familiar with my own grade context (French) I don't want the grade conversion to interfere with any of those grades so that I don't have to look at grades in a way that I am not used to.
At the moment the grade conversion does a couple of things that is strange for me as a user:
- converts slash grades to a full grade, e.g. 5c+/6a -> 6a
- converts low grade "generic" French to low grade "exact" French, e.g. 4 -> 4a+
Ulf argued, that slash grades actually don't exist. But they exist in guide books and how people use them. And they exist and are displayed on theCrag, e.g. Forta dos 5c+/6a
For me this an unwanted side effect. As a result, I have disabled system-wide grade conversion in my profile, because it does interfere with my default grade context that I am used to.
Example url(s) to reproduce the problem: https://www.thecrag.com/es/escalar/spain/montesa/area/1434561252
Ideally also provide screenshots:
Before conversion
After conversion - half of the grades are converted, although they were already in "my" grade context
Maybe worth mentioning, when you log an ascent, you anyhow get to log it in the (unconverted) grade that is registered on the route
What you expected:
- [ ] Grade conversion ignores grades that are already in my own context
