If you get the towel dirty (as Ford), it's still dirty if you revisit the Ford scenario

If you try to give the towel to Prosser (as Ford), it will be marked as muddy by setting TOWEL-MUDDY. See PROSSER-F. So this can only happen after Ford meets Arthur.

If you fail the scenario and then return, the towel is still muddy even though that shouldn't have happened yet.

The game stores the state of Ford's objects (the location of the satchel, the thumb, the Guide, the towel and the mineral water, and whether or not the thumb is working) in FORD-TABLE. I guess we could add another slot for whether or not the towel is muddy.
