Gutenberg blocks?

Hi, I'm not sure if this is the right spot to ask for input on this, but is Modern Tribe planning to somehow create Gutenberg blocks as well? As in: similar to what WooCommerce is doing with the Gutenberg blocks?

Hi @jobthomas, this is 100% the correct spot to ask this question.

Currently, the way we are doing our blocks is to allow Users to build the Event's Single Page via the Block Editor.

We are planning on features like that but we are focusing on Feature parity and some improvements to the current codebase.

So I cannot give you a timeline on exactly that will be done, but it's on our plans.

Cool - yeah, having the option to add a Gutenberg block on pages/posts that for example shows the latest events would be a great addition. I'm helping out a website decide on what to use for their events and this feature would be quite high on their wishlist.

@bordoni: I also want to add a list of current events as Gutenblock to a Gutenberg page.

@strarsis thanks for on this issue, we are on our final stretch of the Blocks Editor (aka Gutenberg) compatibility for the Events creation, trying to align with the WordPress 5.0 release in the coming weeks (possibly)

Our goal is to start working on those features soon after we have our feature parity with our products now.

I will make sure to update you guys once we have a first few Mocks/Designs for the blocks suggested here.
