Is this an issue? Downloading a podcast and writing it to the SD card on Wi-fi shouldn't be a significant use of power.
I've gotten rid of the options having to do with headphones and bluetooth, but I may put one back because someone has the situation where their headphone jack is loose....

I've switch it to update every 6 hours instead of 1. It doesn't close the issue but it should help.
Since I can't find any information on how to look up the value of this setting, I'm guessing no.
Don't worry about not including code. I'd much rather hear about the feature request. I'm not sure how to implement this. Also, I'm not sure how to determine what podcast...
