New Traitor mech: Justice.
About The Pull Request
Adds new mech that can be created from emaged fabricator. To craft this mech you need:
- Emag Fabricator to recive Justice disgine(done this, fabricator will emit a text and sound signal that can reveal you).
- You need to craft it like any other mech but you also need 8 telecrystals to finish constraction.
- To board a mech you need syndicate access (traitor can get it by purchasing an agent card). About Mech: Video: https://youtu.be/QwJfO_lbLK0 Text: Health 200 Damage 60 Only melee attacks(can't attach range weapons(can't attach anything in his arms at all)) Block chanse 60 Speed - in safty mode 2.5 in combat mode 4.5 Attack effects: In addition to damage, it has a 50 percent chance of cutting off an arm or leg (does not put you to sleep or give a knockdown effect when hit like regular combat mechs do). If a target in crit or stun makes a finishing attack instead of a regular attack, the mech says an epic phrase and after a second cuts off the target's head by dashing through the target.
Special actions(can't be used if mech in safty mode):
Invisability - Makes the mech invisible for 20 seconds. If the mech is pushed or collides with someone or if the pilot presses the invisibility button again, the mech will no longer be invisible and will go into a 5 second cooldown (the same will happen after 20 seconds). If you attack in invisibility, then instead of a normal attack the mech will make an AoE 3x3 attack 1 second after pressing (the attack will be accompanied by a sound and visual effect and for a second the mech will not be able to move, which gives enemies time to run away from the attack). Upon completion AoE attack, everyone( except peoples in crit and in stunned condition) in a 3x3 radius will receive 35 damage and a 25 chance of having one of their limbs cut off.
Charge Attack - Mech makes a dash towards the cursor at a distance of up to 7 cells, breaking all obstacles in its path. If the obstacle is a living person (and he is not in crit and is not stunned) then he will receive 35 damage and a 25 chance of cutting off a limb. Cooldown 5 Seconds. P.S. Also added emag_act on fabricator so you can put any new secret traitor mechs on it. Also made the sounds of mech melee attacks to vars so that it would be more convenient to change them.
Also fix a runtime error where if you set something in the mech's max_equip_by_category to 0, the mech UI panel doesn't load.
Why It's Good For The Game

@tralezab
Can't you just hack the mech's wires to bypass the syndicate access requirement?
You already did this back in #83095. Explain what's different about it now

After last pr closed, @tralezab suggested making it possible to creat mech through a emag fabricator(and not just purchase from an uplink)

Yes

What's the point of it then, I thought it's supposed to be a way of adding cost to it?

You still 8 tc to make it, though, maybe then remove card requirement at this point? Or remove option to hack it? Or maybe lock abilities under card requiment instead?
All you did was turn it from buying the mech to buying an emag and agent card. This is not different, all you did was make it cost even more and also make it even worse to go for.

I don’t understand what you’re talking about because the previous reason for closing the project was this: "We don't want people (especially science) just buying something they could make."
However, as I already wrote in PR, I discussed what can be done with the PR in discord and received such a solution:
If arm isn't coming to back you on the PR, you really need to go chat with him
Maybe you could put this behind illegal tech.
I am gonna back him on this pr. I blocked it because I didn't like the straight TC purchase. That was something I worked out with potato. Then I talked to Xackii and we agreed on changes that no longer made it a straight TC purchase but something you have to work towards in game as a traitor (hidden exofab? however you go about printing validsalad mech parts without getting caught.)

It's hugely different from pressing purchase and having a mech you can jump into, there's a time cost, a plan required, a fail condition where you're caught. Toys that are good for nothing but a rampage don't make good instant purchases, a rampage makes for a good outcome when the station lets a traitor set up a deadly weapon.
I still hold that the mech was not the issue, it was always about it being a "lawyer special item" (and then the iteration afterwards which wasn't much better) that the station has no ability to respond to. But we should have illicit exofab mechs. And hell, we should expand that. Retinence as it is right now would make a better illicit mech (could also get buffed since it would no longer be roundstart) than it does as a tc purchase. Same with Justice.

This is the reason the last pr died, the reason given and that's changed. It has to keep the TC cost as long as emags are something security can acquire, or else this will be a new security mech, not a traitor one.
Is this like a plot to make mechs so horrendous to deal with that even the mech meat riders will call for their removal? 4d chess
Mech with block chance? Really?
12tc (8tc construction + 4tc emag) for a better mauler available for traitors ??????????????????????
This is fine.
Just make it require a vortex core.
12tc (8tc construction + 4tc emag) for a better mauler available for traitors ??????????????????????
this mech is clearly not as good as mauler

you listed all the features of the mech, what is your point? edit: you can see Justice is slow as fuck in combat mode in the video, I don't know you even brought that up since it clearly doesn't help your point of view
Actually i take it back, this doesn't need an anomaly core and is actually a lot weaker than the numbers would make you think.
Being all melee is a death sentence if you get the mech movement wound, and after applying laser armor, adding it's health, and multiplying by 1.6 dodge chance, this thing only has enough health to tank about 17.6 laser shots (which can be shot from outside this mechs melee range).
9/10 times this thing will flat out die to a single sec officer with a laser gun that knows how to back peddle, or like 4 assistants that can run circles around it with toolboxes. I think it actually takes on a good niche as a stealth killing tool because if you engage too long with this thing you are going to attract someone that can destroy you easily.
hear me out folks: this includes a new method for making the mech. we don't know how good or bad it is because you don't make it under the same conditions you make a durand. maybe you're right that it is too strong, maybe you're wrong, the best way we can find out is by merging it and having it in the game for awhile.
people have argued it's both too strong and too weak on both justice prs, so i say let's find out.
I don't think you realize how little hp 200 is, that's like 10 laser shots isn't it
also, I imagine a direct port of an existing paid games mech is copyright infringement generally not a fan of "I'm going to copy an existing thing with no difference" either, reference shmeference atleast be original
thanks for helping out jac 👍
I'm starting to believe a lot of you haven't gone around in a mech with a scatter shot before I swear that thing feels like cheating just oneshotting nerds at closerange
Sorry arm but you're overruled, this needs to be harder to get, how you do it up to you.
this is ripped from another game and the sprite fits poorly with the art style
are you saying the sprite is taken from somewhere else? or just the inspiration?
from images people posted in coding general the sprite seems to be heavily inspired but not ripped from another game personally I think this is a bit cringe and also that it doesn't really mesh with the other mechs we have particularly, but I don't think it's a game rip
also the PR author told me that they made it themselves and surely nobody would directly lie to little old me
the sprite isnt a direct rip but it is a nigh-copy of "justice" from sanabi, along with literally using the name, and yeah the sprite doesnt fit in at ALL, it looks like it was a lazy port from another server.
