The problem is actually upstream in the pylsd package, so I've opened https://github.com/primetang/pylsd/issues/20. There's an [LSD implementation in OpenCV](https://docs.opencv.org/3.4/db/d73/classcv_1_1LineSegmentDetector.html) which may represent a possible alternative.
