component: Article context
I've seen many references in docs today (having paid attention lately) of the ever important topic of "article context", etc.
One example is here... https://docs.textpattern.io/tags/tag-basics/incorrect-tag-contexts
And I've mentioned the importance of context here too (hopefully correctly)... https://docs.textpattern.io/tags/tag-basics/shortform-vs-longform-usage
Neither page links to any specific explanation of what article context means, exactly, which would be useful considering it's so important.
I know Jeff Soo wrote a long essay on context years ago, but I think we could use with a more abbreviated doc on the topic. But I don't think I'm the right person for doing it. Rather, I'm the right person to benefit from reading it, though I could at least edit it. :)
I think it's logical to put such a doc under the Tag Basics section with the other single-topics, then link to it as needed in context of other doc pages.
Realizing the best place to elaborate on this topic would be right in the doc already suggesting it... https://docs.textpattern.io/tags/tag-basics/incorrect-tag-contexts
Just needs some further explanation of context situations, I think.
I think that page would be better titled as "Contexts of tag use", and then proceed to edit the doc around the scope of proper tag use contexts, such as 'article context'.
For now let this stand as a possible example of a content 'component' topic to be inserted in other pages.
If this component idea catches and is technically feasible, we'll probably want a new template for component issues. But we'll sit on it a while first.
Also, where is Soo's long-form piece on 'article context'?
