Disapearing contact search results

Describe the bug Occasionally, a search result appear and then immediately disappear. It may be hard to reproduce, but I see it quite often. Anyone else see this?

To Reproduce Steps to reproduce the behavior: Search for a contact, see a valid result flicker for a millisecond and disappear.

Expected behavior It should not disappear.

From what I understand, every time you change the text in the search bar, a new search event is triggered, so as you're typing your query the results are constantly changing. This can cause search results to disappear.

Adding a bit to this, recent builds are showing errors on iOS contact search - looks like an error decoding the stream of data.
