MacOS Default Browser
I would like to set Doodle as a default browser in macOS, so that whenever I click a link anywhere (like in Tweetdeck) it is opened in Dooble.
Unfortunately, it is not available in the dropdown that allows to change the default browser (System Preferences -> General)
If anyone has managed to make Doodle as default browser, please let me know "How"

I did - before I asked the question here.
There is no way to add an external program, only option to choose from the dropdown. Problem is Dooble does not appear in the dropdown
(I'm not sure how iTerm ended up in that list 🤷♂️ )
Does Dooble work on your Mac?
Perhaps Dooble has to define itself in that list. I don't know how. :)
Yes. Dooble works well on my machine.
I found this unanswered question on SO.
and this answer to related question (using Cocoa, not Qt) but may be related
Hopefully it helps. in some ways.
So far I can assign Dooble as the default browser and if I click a link in another application, Dooble is launched. Now I have to somehow pass the URL to Dooble.
Version 10.15.7 OS X.
Eagerly looking forward to use Dooble as a default browser on macOS
Would it be sufficient to launch the browser and you'd have to navigate to the correct link? :D
Most certainly not.
I already have Dooble open.
But copying the link using Right Click-> Copy Link, followed by switch to Dooble, open new tab and paste and hit Enter, are too many steps, which I sometimes do, but forget most times.
Our brains are trained to just click on the link, when we see one 🤷♂️
The current state is difficult because my hardware is flailing in oldness. I tested some solutions and all of them just launched Dooble. The test was: click a link from some other application after configuring Dooble as the primary browser. However, the link was not provided to Dooble. The entire process is slow because my hardware is obsolete and building on it takes time. That's the status.
@textbrowser Thanks for the update
My Mac is declared obsolete by Homebrew and Apple. I may return to this after I have a newer machine. It may take months or years.
