Sections don't show up in TOC sidebar if they are wrapped in other tags

Open eyolf opened this issue 2 years ago • 6 comments

If a \chapter{}, \section{}, etc. is placed within another tag, it disappears from the TOC sidebar.

Environment

  • TeXstudio: v.4.5.2
  • Qt: 6.5.1
  • OS: Arch Linux
  • TeX distribution: texlive

Expected behavior

To see all headings.

IDK how much you need. Here's how it looks (or rather: doesn't look...):

In general I would recommend changing section command. The help menu offers item LaTeX Reference. Have a look at the end of 6.3 \section. There you find two options on how to proceed. One links to 6.8 @startsection, typesetting sectional unit headings.

I'm aware how to deal with sections and such (and I also wouldn't usually format an italicized section like this – I consider it bad coding style). But this is not about that – it's about the fact that TeXstudio doesn't display sections (and chapters etc) that are formatted like this.

fringe case. I take it as feature request.
