Can't use shortcut to paste in macro editor

Environment

  • TeXstudio: both stable 4.5.1 and latest 4.5.1-102-ge8f3f2349
  • Qt: 6.4.2
  • OS: macOS 12.6.3
  • TeX distribution: irrelevant

Expected behavior

In Edit Macros dialog, when cursor is in the macro editor text area, pressing cut/copy/paste/undo shortcuts acts on the macro editor.

Actual behavior

Pressing such shortcuts acts on the main tex editor. Only the right-click menu acts on the macro editor itself.

How to reproduce

  • Open Edit Macros dialog
  • Put cursor in the macro editor
  • Press one of the mentioned shortcuts

seems OS specific to me, can't reproduce with Win10

Indeed: no such an issue on GNU/Linux.

Qt/OSX apparently behaves differently than the other OS. Writing a work-around seems not straight forward, so I set this as enhancement request.

I can definitely confirm this behaviour exists since long time on MacOS.
