Timestamps On Chat Messages (If enabled)

Checklist (issue will be disregarded & closed if incomplete!)

  • [X] I've checked both open and recently closed issues to ensure this feature is not already requested.
  • [X] I am using the newest version of TETR.IO.
  • [X] I am certain this is a feature request, not a bug.
  • [X] I've thought this feature through properly.

Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.

It is difficult to know when someone chatted in chat (I've found myself responding to the same message twice).

Describe the solution you'd like

In settings: The option to turn chat timestamps on or off.

In chat: Next to the name of the player (or when the message is hovered over) a time of when a chat message was said. EXAMPLE: Player1234(12:00pm): HI

Describe alternatives you've considered

There is no such feature like this yet. I understand the chat turns white, then fades out to grey when the chat was recently said, but it is hard to focus on chat while playing a game at the same time.

Additional context

I hope text is enough, O5k.

TETR.IO Social Network already has this. You brought a good point.

+1ing this feature. My own situation:

Problem description

I play Tetrio on a HP Chromebook. Meaning, the only way I can play the game without horrible lag and jankiness is by turning down the "Video & Interface" setting to "Minimal", and setting "Disable sound entirely" to checked. This means that during Tetra League play, there's no visual indication when the opponent sends me a message. And so whenever I check the chat log (either during gameplay or when the match is over), I have no idea when the user sent that message.

The most specific problem statement is that I want to know when the opponent sent a message. The more general one is I want to know the timestamp of every message sent in the chat. A similar problem statement is I want to know which Tetra League round the message is related to (because besides "glhf", almost all messages are a response to what happened in the most recent Tetra League round).

Describe the solution you'd like

For the problem satement of knowing the timestamp of every message sent in chat, one idea is that when you hover over a chat message, a shall hover box shows the timestamp for that message. Another idea is to put the timestamp before, or above, the user's name when they send a message.

To also solve the problem of knowing which Tetra League round the message is related to, SYS should also print in the chat log the result of each round, as well as its timestamp. This should allow me to realize what Tetra League round the opponent's later message is related to.
