Describe the motivation The community maintained flatpak has some issues in regards to plugins.
Additional context They actually do have a tar.gz file so this wouldn't be a scenario where a deb is being repackaged. Pasting it here for example https://github.com/obsidianmd/obsidian-releases/releases/download/v1.9.14/obsidian-1.9.14.tar.gz
Just replace "1.9.14" with any updates.

agreed, should give an exclusion for applications that heavily require input. Flatpak doesn't work well with IMEs.
What IME issues have you been having with Flatpak, I'd argue that the plugin issues warrant this more than IME issues (which I personally haven't had with mozc)

Minor correction. Flatpak with electron apps doesn't seem to warrant IMEs barelly working.
