Allow adjusting line-height

Some font like meslo has a very large line-height, while the others have a very small one (sometimes the character height almost exceeds the line-height).

It also makes airline or powerline in vim ugly since the arrows cannnot align.

Can you add an option for users to adjust line-height?

I'm interested in the ability to adjust line-height. This feature would significantly improve the compatibility with various fonts. Is there any update or plan for this enhancement? Thanks.
