By The way. I Am now running Orca, Pidgin and complete Mate desktop environment with Fedora35. It will be very interesting to try, if it will be also possible in Fedora 36. It is even no more necessary to type dbus-run-session appname to run processes which need DBUS. I Am very nicely surprised by this fact. But may be, that Fedora 36 will not support it.
I want Fedora 37 added too. I want to use the Gnome desktop.
GNOME (4x) is not gonna work. Since GNOME 3.34 there have been hard dependencies on Systemd in the GNOME Desktop, there are projects to strip the Systemd dependencies out of GNOME, but as far as I am aware none of those are currently working on Termux, or Proot on Termux. And if they did, it would require extensive modification of the GNOME package(s) to achieve.
Hard dependencies on Systemd being a dealbreaker since Android does not use Systemd as its init system, and does not allow us to swap out the init system to enable applications with hard Systemd dependencies to to run under Android, which Termux ultimately relies on.
