Feature Request: Freeze active bundle until clicked away

Open vtexperts opened this issue 4 years ago • 2 comments

I understand the extension immediately reorganizes the UI, however the jumping (immediate resort based on last date) sometimes feels like "I don't know what just happened".

Any suggestions? perhaps freezing the active group until clicked away?

Here's my scenario:

1. This is how it looks at the beginning

explorer_2020-03-29_21-54-23 1

2. I unchecked 'yyyy' and checked '6666'

explorer_2020-03-29_21-54-44 1

3. This is where I land (Active group got pushed to the very bottom)

I think what's happening when the new label is applied, is that Gmail actually replaces all the rows, and so inboxy needs to rebundle everything from scratch.

This causes the original bundle (which is still open) to appear to have jumped. It should be possible to set the scroll position to give the appearance of not jumping.

Exactly! Also, one thing to keep in mind: Assume there are total of 150 emails. Assume label A has 10 emails. 1: from today 2-9: from 1 month or older.

if I move OR archive "Email 1", the grouping (Label A) will disappear, because the most recent email is gone (only older ones remain).
