bundles collapsing unexpectedly

Open FSemGitHub opened this issue 4 years ago • 7 comments

Hi - this is a brilliant solution to the loss of the bundling feature moving from Inbox to Gmail - thank you

I am experiencing something (Win 10/latest Chrome) that I want to ask about. Sometimes, especially after first opening Chrome or after a refresh, when I click on a bundle, it opens to show all emails within, but then, when I click on an email inside the bundle, the email displays (in the preview panel which I always have open) but the bundle closes (ie collapses back to a single line).

Once the bundle has been re-clicked, things tend to function as expected.

I can't reproduce this on every bundle, but it is a pretty common experience.

Any help/thoughts appreciated. Thanks.

Hi, thanks for letting me know! In general, inboxy doesn't quite work with the reading pane yet (there are other problems, such as #50). However, since it seems like many users do use the reading pane, I'm hoping to fully support it soon.

For this specific bug, I can take a closer look later this week.

Didn't realize reading pane was an issue. Maybe you can mention this upon install?

With v1.5.3, this should happen much less often. (I still see it happening occasionally, perhaps when Gmail is checking for new messages.)

Thanks for looking into this - I look forward to 1.5.3 in due course

Just installed and have the same issue. I can see the bundles for a few seconds

It seems they are affected when one uses a view that is not the default view.
