Archive all in bundle button not archiving consistently.

Hi all,

When I click the "double checkmarks" at the top of an expanded bundle, it consistently selects all emails in that bundle, but it isn't consistently archiving them. Sometimes it selects all, then takes a couple of seconds, then archives, sometimes it doesn't do anything and I need to click again, and sometimes even clicking multiple times doesn't do anything I need to manually hit "E" to archive the selected e-mails. I'm not sure what's leading to the inconsistency, I'm using default inbox was no tabs.

This behavior feels like it could lead to accidental archives if for example I click it, don't feel like it will archive, it does after a delay, then I hit E to manually archive and it archives something else.

Hi, I haven't been able to reproduce this but I'll keep trying. When it doesn't perform the archive action, is there an error in the developer console?

I noticed that too, but it does not happen often. I'll provide console log once it happens again.

I wasn't able to get any error messages just now in the console while clicking the "archive all" button, but after a number of seconds and a couple clicks, I did get these violation messages:

"[Violation] Forced reflow while executing JavaScript took 231ms [Violation] Forced reflow while executing JavaScript took 219ms [Violation] Forced reflow while executing JavaScript took 207ms m=b:3210 [Violation] 'message' handler took 213ms [Violation] Forced reflow while executing JavaScript took 211ms"

Additional information on this issue. Now, relatively consistently, if I click the two checkmarks to archive a "bundle", it will do nothing, but when I move my mouse cursor up to the single "Archive" checkmark in Gmail, it will archive everything the moment my mouse touches the button (I don't have to click).

This is happening frequently in my installation. It seems as if it's gotten much worse over the past couple of months. It seems to be caused for some reason by a very long delay in responding to the click; sometimes 30 seconds or more. So to be clear, my suspicion is that assuming this defects is the same as what I'm running into, the issue is a long delay, not that it's working inconsistently. I use the preview pane, which I recall was related to a known defect that I thought had been fixed.

I just played around with enabling/disabling the preview pane, and it does seem that disabling the preview pane makes it operate with a slow, but more reasonable level of responsiveness. It seems you have to turn off the preview pane and then refresh the gmail page in order to get it to function.
