Possible to extend to other clouds?

Is there any opportunity to extend this to other clouds? It appears as though GCP is pretty deeply wired in.

Hi @aronchick, It is definitely possible to extend this to other clouds and we welcome any PRs for that. GCP dependencies are not very deep and should be easy to abstract away.
