Refactor unit tests to take options struct rather than arguments

Hi everyone,

Right now, our test-cases are becoming a nightmare, I would suggest we refactor and create an options struct to pass in instead, otherwise we might end up needing a 21:9 monitor to review.

Does anyone strongly disagree?
