#NULL! in formula bar could not be substituted with selected cell

Reproduction of the problem

  • Run the following Dojo: https://dojo.telerik.com/uneFOHaY/7
  • Delete column C
  • Click on cell A1
  • In the formula bar select with the cursor #NULL!
  • Click on a random cell in the Sheet
  • The formula editor closes and the focus moves to the clicked cell

Expected/desired behavior

The formula editor should remain open and the #NULL! should be substituted with a reference to the clicked cell. For reference, review the behavior of Excel in that scenario.
