Disable forward/share message to chat from same folder by default
Is your feature request related to a problem?
Created folder to keep publics there. Now clicking on "share" button and it now Tdesktop is suggesting to share to chat in that folder. Which is none where I could do it because I'm not admin of publics.

After updating to version 6.3.4, when forwarding messages the app now automatically selects the folder of the channel/group where the original message is located. This has become extremely inconvenient. I hope this is a bug that will be fixed quickly.
Previously, when forwarding a message, the default tab was “All Chats,” which was very convenient, especially when saving something to “Saved Messages.” Now you have to make a bunch of unnecessary clicks. On Android, when forwarding, the app still defaults to the tab with the full list of chats, as it should.
Did not expect to create a problem in this place.
I usually use my "Unread" folder the most - to read news and PMs, and then often share them to friends or to the Saved messages. Since I usually "read" my friends first, and my Saved messages are never "unread", this creates an issue since my "most frequently shared to" chats are never listed in the shared sheet right away anymore when I use my default Unread folder to check on things. Now I have to manually search them there, and even then they only appear with a bit of lag.
I wonder, what are the use cases for this new feature? Is it to remove irrelevant noise and make sharing more focused? It might make sense for thematic folders like Work - you read work, you share to work, less extra steps. But even then you might still need your personal saved messages listed there, at the very least. And it will probably cause friction with most all-purpose/automation/smart folders like the Unread one.
Maybe there's a way to have more smart focused control, not just an on/off option? It could be a setting for each folder - whether we want to self-focus its share sheet by default. But not sure such granular option is a good fit for telegram settings. Maybe you could just allow the user to pick a default folder for sharing? Then they could manually create a folder with all their frequently shared-to chats and contacts, which will eliminate the need to switch the sharing context most of the time.
I've always felt a bit annoyed to see very active muted chats (that I never share to) always sitting atop of my "All" chats sharing filter, quickly lowering my chats that I just shared to mere seconds ago. Instead of a dedicated folder for sharing, the solution I envisioned for this was more smart and automated. Something like "Shared to"/"Frequently shared with"/etc default filter for the share sheet, that will show all the chats I shared to, based on last action recency and maybe also the use frequency? Or at least, chats that I messaged to, whichever is easier to track. I know at least iOS also collects this data from the app to generate its system share sheet. It could be an opt-in option due to the extra data collection.
I agree with the topic starter, new forwarding behavior is breaking the casual UX flow. I couldn't even find an option to disable it.

@23rd try forwarding channel posts (being on "Channels" tab) to friends or groups. Before it was way easier 🤕
Why did Telegram suddenly decide that I would forward messages by default to a channel located in the same folder? It looks like a crazy bug. Most likely, that's what it is.
If you’d like to downgrade to version 6.3.3 until this issue is resolved (as I did), you can download the official installers directly and replace your current installation.
Before doing so, make sure to disable automatic updates in the app’s settings.

After installing the older version, note that you will need to log in to Telegram again.
You can verify these links by downloading the latest version from the official Telegram Desktop website (https://desktop.telegram.org/) and simply replacing the version number in the URL.

Look like completed in . Unless they will break this again.
