Disable video auto-play while sliding through medias (images+videos)
Is your feature request related to a problem?
Yes. Usually when I'm sliding through images of a channel (or chat), I have a music (or a voice message) playing from another chat in the background. Upon reaching a video, the music I was playing in background is paused because of the video auto-play. Unfortunately, the music playback isn't resumed after skipping past the video either. This whole behavior is very annoying. There's also the concern of unwanted data usage as well.
Mind you that I have disabled all types of auto-play and/or auto-downloading, but this is what happens nonetheless.
Describe the solution you'd like
I'd like a toggle to disable video auto-play altogether while sliding through medias.
Describe alternatives you've considered
There are some alternatives but none can replace the simplicity and practicality of a toggle as I mentioned above. So these are merely additional requests that together can complete the user experience in this regard:
- Resume music playback after sliding past a video (a configuration toggle?)
- Do NOT pause music playback at all when a video is reached, play both simultaneously (a configuration toggle?)
- Ability to choose to whether to slide through "images only", "videos only" or the mix of both. (a toggle inside the media sliding interface.)
- ...
Additional context
None at the moment.
